Mock Exams Learner Response: Blog Tasks

Today, we need to closely analyse our performance across both papers and identity specific ways we will improve for the real exams on Monday 18th May and Tuesday 2nd June. 


Complete the following learner response tasks in a new blogpost on your Media blog called 'March Mock Exams - Learner Response':

1) Write something you've learned from going through each of the two papers in class. 

2) Which paper did you do better in?

3) Why do you think you did better in that paper?

4) Focusing on Paper 1, write down three things you need to improve on before the real exams. This may be a particular section or type of question (e.g. unseen analysis, 20 mark essay) or a particular type of media or CSP (e.g. advertising or NHS Represent).

5) Now look at Paper 2. Write down three things you need to improve on for Paper 2 before the real exams. Again, this might be a topic, type of question or specific skill.

Radio: KISS FM Breakfast show CSP

  Remember, our Radio products are   targeted CSPs   and need to be studied with reference to two elements of the theoretical framework -   Audiences  and   Industries  as well as Historical, Social and Cultural Contexts. Background and history Kiss FM first broadcast on 7 October 1985 as a pirate radio station, initially to South London then across the whole city.   BLACKPINK: How You Like That Arctic Monkeys: I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor We need to study the  industry  and  audience  contexts for these products:  Industry:  how music video is produced and marketed and how this has changed over time. Audience:  Target audience and audience pleasures. How music contributes to an audience's sense of identity. Fandom. How the internet has changed the position of the audience. PLUS:  Historical, cultural and social significance of the music videos and the impact of the internet on the music industry.
